Gunfire echoes through the valley, the sound bouncing off the hills as we exchange blows with the raiders, their crow-feathered gear a stark sight amidst the chaos. Dawn is breaking, casting a golden glow over the carnage, and I'm waiting for an opening to strike back, my heart heavy with the knowledge that this fight is far from over.
