The year is 2287, and the Vespera crew finds themselves in the scorching desert landscape of a post-apocalyptic world. The sun beats down relentlessly, casting a golden glow over the endless dunes as a massive sandstorm brews on the horizon. The air is thick with tension, the only sound the distant rumble of thunder and the soft hum of the crew's equipment.
Aika crouches over Rika, shielding her from the swarm of giant desert spiders that threaten to overwhelm them. Rika's eyes are closed, her chest glowing with a soft blue light as the crew's stabilizing energy works to heal her wounds. The sand beneath them is scorched and blackened, the air reeking of ozone and smoke. Akari and Miyu provide cover, their guns blazing as they take down the spiders one by one, while Hina and Komi work to stabilize Rika's vital signs. Yui kneels beside them, her hands moving swiftly and surely as she works to repair the damage.
“Hold on, Rika, we've got you.”
“Can't...breathe...”
“I've got her vitals stable, but we need to get her out of here, now.”
“I've got our six, but we need to move, fast.”
“Almost got her patched up, just a few more seconds...”
“Probability of spider swarm dispersal: 74.32%. We need to be ready to move.”
“We can't stay here. We have to keep moving, no matter what.”
As the crew manages to fend off the spider swarm and stabilize Rika's wounds, they know they can't stay in one place for too long, not in this unforgiving environment. They press on, driven by their determination to find the Polyák family and uncover the secrets of their past, their bond and trust in each other the only constants in a world gone mad.
